Math Learning Goals: Problem Solving

3.4A(R)- Solve one and two step addition and subtraction problems within 1,000

3,4B (S) Round to the nearest 10 or 100 or use compatible numbers to estimate solutions to addition and subtraction problems

3.5A(R)- Represent one and two step problems involving addition and subtraction of whole numbers to 1,000 using pictorial models, number lines, and equations

Math Homework is due Thursday.  Homework is passed out on Fridays.  Study your addition facts.

Mad Minute (addition facts) is Thursday and results will be written in their planner on Friday.  Our Mad Minute consists of 30 problems and students have one minute to complete as many as possible.  Our goal is to get better each week.

Science Learning Goals: Finishing up States of Matter and starting Weather Unit

3.5B Describe and classify states of matter as solids, liquids, and gasses and demonstrate that solids have a definite shape that liquids take the shape of their container

3.5C Predict, observe and record changes in matter caused by heating and cooling.

3.8A Observe, measure, and record and compare day-to-day weather changes in different locations at the same time that include air temperature, wind direction and precipitation

Science – Mixtures & Solutions
