April 26th- 3rd Grade Field Day

May 10th- 3rd Grade Math STARR Test

May 11th- 3rd Grade Reading STARR Test

May 16th- 3rd Grade Awards – 9am

Math Learning Goals:

3.7D(S)- determine when it is appropriate to use measurements of liquid volume (capacity) or weight

3.7E(S)- determine liquid volume (capacity) or weight using appropriate units and tools

3.9A(S) – Explain the connection between human capital/labor and income

3.9B(S) – Describe the relationship between the availability or scarcity of resources and how that impacts cost

3.9C(S)-identify the costs and benefits of planned and unplanned spending decisions

3.9D(S) – explain that credit is used when wants or needs exceed the ability to pay and that it is the borrower’s responsibility to pay it back to the lender, usually with interest

3.9E(S)-list reasons to save and explain the benefit of a savings plan, including for college

3.9F(S)-identify decisions involving income, spending, saving, credit, and charitable giving

Math Homework:

  • Math Homework will be passed out on Friday, April 29th. It will be due the following Thursday, May 5th.

Science Learning Goals:

TEKS: SCIENCE

3.10A explore how structures and functions of plants and animals allow them to survive in a particular environment; and

3.10 B Investigate and compare how animals and plants undergo a series of orderly changes and their diverse life cycles such as tomato plants, frogs, and ladybugs
