Important Dates:

Dec. 16th and Dec. 17th- Parents, please make note that students will have Early Dismissals on both Dec. 16th and Dec. 17th. Dismissal time will be 11:45 on each of these dates. Please be sure that you have made arrangements for your children.

Math Learning Goals:

3.4F(S)- recall facts to multiply up to 10 by 10 with automaticity and recall the corresponding division facts

3.4G(S)- use strategies and algorithms, including the standard algorithm, to multiply a two-digit number by a one-digit number. Strategies may include mental math, partial produce, and the commutative, associative, and distributive properties

3.4J(S)-Determine a quotient using the relationship between multiplication and division.

3.4K(R)-solve one-step and two-step problems involving multiplication and division within 100 using strategies based on objects; pictorial models, including arrays, area models, and equal groups; properties of operations; or recall facts

Math Homework:

  • Math Homework will be passed out on Friday, December 10th . It will be due the following Thursday, December 16th .
  • Please study your multiplication facts (0,1,2,3,4) . We will have a Mad Minute on Thursday, December 9th. Students will have one minute to solve 30 multiplication facts. This is not for a grade. We will set goals each week to improve fact fluency.

3.3B – represent the natural world using models such as volcanoes or the Sun, Earth, and Moon system and identify their limitations, including size, properties, and materials; and

3.7B- investigate rapid changes in Earth’s surface such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and landslides.
