Math Learning Goals: Fractions

3.3A(S)- represent fractions greater than zero and less than or equal to one with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 using concrete objects and pictorial models including strip-diagrams and number lines

3.7A (S) represent fractions as halves, fourths, and eights as distances from 0 on a number line.

Math Homework:

Math homework is sent home on Fridays and is due back the following Thursday. Homework will be due on Thursday, January 28.
Please study your MULTIPLICATION FACTS. 0’s, 1’s, 2’s, 3’s , 5’s, 6’s, 7’s, 8’s and 10’s only. We will have a Mad Minute on Thursday. Students will have one minute to solve 30 multiplication facts. This is not for a grade. We will set goals each week to improve fact fluency.

Science Learning Goals: Rotation Vs Orbit

3.8B – Describe and illustrate the Sun as a star composed of gases that provides light and thermal energy.
3.8C – Construct models that demonstrate the Sun, Earth and moon including orbits and positions.
3.8D – Identify the planets in Earth solar system and their position in relation to the Sun.
