Math Learning Goals: Fractions

3.3A(S)- represent fractions greater than zero and less than or equal to one with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 using concrete objects and pictorial models including strip-diagrams and number lines

3.7A (S) represent fractions as halves, fourths, and eights as distances from 0 on a number line.

Math Homework:  

Math homework is due Thursday.  It was passed out today, Friday.  Please study your multiplication facts this week. This week, we are focusing on the 8’s.

Mad Minute:  There will be a Mad Minute on Thursday for the following multiplication facts. (0’s, 1’s, 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, 5’s, 6’s, 7’s, 8’s, 10’s)

Science Learning Goals: Ecosystems

3.9 Organisms and environments. The student knows and can describe patterns, cycles, systems, and relationships within the environments. The student is expected to: (A) observe and describe the physical characteristics of environments and how they support populations and communities of plants and animals within an ecosystem;

Wednesday, January 29 – EARLY RELEASE 11:30

Thursday, January 30: 6:00 – FAMILY MATH NIGHT

PTO will have $5 hot dog dinner plates for sale beginning at 5:30 p.m. prior to doors opening  for Math Night at 6:00 p.m.
